Cancer Support Group Dealing with cancer? Warsaw Community Church Counseling Ministries invites patients, newly diagnosed, in the treatment stage or in remission, survivors, their spouses and caregivers to join every first and third Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Care & Counseling Building, 103 Enterprise Drive, Warsaw. You will meet people like yourself who have gone through the journey of living with cancer and share in each other’s hope. Those in attendance may feel free to share their experiences and ask questions in a setting of trust and acceptance among others who are traveling the same path. Caregiver Support Nights At Seasons Seasons Adult Day Center will host free caregiver support nights every third Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. for family members of persons with memory loss from Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. People can feel free to bring their loved one. They will have caregivers leading fun activities for them to participate in during the evening.
Monthly Lou Gehrig’s Support Group WINONA LAKE - The Warsaw support group meeting for Lou Gehrig’s, hosted by the ALS Assocation of Indiana, is the second Thursday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church, 1200 Kings Highway, Winona Lake. The monthly meeting are for PALS, caregivers, family and friends to learn more about ALS and interact with others in the ALS community. Overcomer’s Outreach ATWOOD – Overcomer’s Outreach will begin its winter session every Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at New Beginnings Church, 208 E. Main St. Atwood. Overcomer’s is open to individuals and families who are struggling with difficult situations or who desire a closer walk of faith. The challenge for the group for 2012 is “Have A Little Faith”.
