AKRON - The Akron Area Arts League is offering a summer art camp for kids in second through fifth grades, July 19-23, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Brenda Ramseier, art teacher at Maconaquah Elementary School, will be teaching.
The theme for the week is "The Beauty of Air and Space".
Activities to be included are: sculpting a clay bird, building a 3-D airport, designing a space station, making a hot air balloon which will turn into a paper Mache Piñata and more.
There will be a student exhibition and parent program July 23 at 7 p.m.
The camp location is the new Akron Community Center located east of Akron and north on Ind. 14.The camp is limited to 20 and the cost is $25 which includes all materials and a mid-morning snack. Boy and Girl Scouts could complete their arts and crafts badge by attending this art camp. Check with your leader.
