VALPARAISO - Valparaiso University student Michael Suhany, Warsaw, received a Board of Directors Award for his project "Bilingualism and Trilingualism in a School System in Bluefields, Nicaragua" at the Celebration of Undergraduate Scholarship.
The Celebration is an annual event celebrating the research, scholarly and creative work of Valporaiso's undergraduate students.Suhany, along with five other students, traveled to Central America during their spring break to gain a global perspective on teaching, working and learning with elementary students in Nicaragua.
Suhany recently completed his degree in history. He is the son of Alan and Cathy Suhany.
