ROCHESTER – Hayes Sturtsman was the winning pitcher, had two hits and drove in a run in Manchester’s 7-1 baseball win at Rochester Monday. Sturtsman struck out 11 Zebra hitters and allowed just two hits to help Manchester to its first Three Rivers Conference win of the season. Rylie Rickert added a pair of hits and drove in a run. Janzin Cripe, Bailey Ness and David McAtee had two hits each, and landan Tharp had a hit and three RBI’s. The Squires stranded 13 runners in seven innings. “We left too many on base, but a win is a win,” Squire head coach Jack Rupley said. “We need to get better at making good contact with two strikes.” Now 2-7 overall and 1-1 in the TRC, Manchester travels to Peru on Wednesday.
