It’s not too late for students to join the sixth-grade band or orchestra. Sixth-grade band students meet at Edgewood Middle School from 7:40 to 8:40 a.m. Woodwinds (flute, clarinet and saxophone) attend Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. -Brass (trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone) and percussion attend Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Sixth-grade orchestra students meet at Lakeview Middle School from 7:40 to 8:40 a.m. Bus transportation to both middle schools before band and to school afterward is provided. Upper strings (violin and viola) from Claypool, Eisenhower, Madison and Washington attend Monday and Thursday. Upper strings (violin and viola) from Harrison, Jefferson, Leesburg and Lincoln attend Tuesday and Friday. -Lower strings (cello and bass) from Claypool, Eisenhower, Madison and Washington attend Wednesday and Thursday.
