A Warsaw Community High School student was arrested Monday at the high school on drug charges.
Matthew Evan Barfell, 18, of 779 E. CR 400S, Warsaw, was arrested on charges of dealing marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. He was booked into Kosciusko County Jail at 3:32 p.m. Monday on a $5,000 bond.
At around 2 p.m. Monday, acting on an anonymous tip, Warsaw police officer Dave Morales reportedly found Barfell with an undisclosed amount of marijuana in a bag in Barfell's vehicle.
Morales said Barfell wasn't dealing at the high school, but was transporting the marijuana for somebody else and was allegedly setting up a drug deal for after school.
Barfell posted bond Monday and currently is suspended from WCHS.
