Strangulation At Restaurant Leads To Arrest Of Warsaw TeenA Warsaw man was arrested recently after allegedly strangling another man during an argument at a local fast-food restaurant.

Alexander Glen Hurley, 18, of 2115 E. Hendricks St., Warsaw, was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 9:46 p.m. Dec. 7 on preliminary charges of battery and strangulation. His bond was set at $5,250.

Court documents filed Thursday list the charges against him as strangulation, a level 6 felony, and battery, a Class A misdemeanor.

On Dec. 7, Warsaw Police Department officer Jacob Metzger responded to a battery complaint at a Warsaw McDonald’s.

Metzger could see redness on the victim’s throat.

Hurley told Metzger he became angry and grabbed the victim by the throat. He said he made a mistake and was sorry.

A video of the confrontation showed Hurley grabbing the victim by the throat in a violent manner, court documents state. The video also showed Hurley holding the victim on the ground with his forearm across his throat.

A no contact order was entered Thursday.

Hurley has been released on his own recognizance. His initial hearing is scheduled for 8:15 a.m. Dec. 27.
