Sting Op Nets Five Drug Arrests

Posted
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Dept. officers arrested five individuals on drug charges stemming from a Fulton County sting operation last week.

KCSD deputies and detectives arrested four individuals on drug warrants today shortly before 7 a.m.

Detectives arrested Michelle Lee Blankenship, 41, of 5153 W. Corly’s Lane, Silver Lake, Friday evening on preliminary charges of dealing a controlled substance.

Information leading to Blankenship’s arrest was provided from a large multi-jurisdictional arrest last week involving Fulton County Sheriff’s Dept., Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Dept. and the Indiana State Police.

KCSD detectives and Drug Task Force were provided information that then led to this morning’s arrest of the following subjects on preliminary charges of dealing and possession of a controlled substance:

– Travis James Lewis, 18, Corly's Lane, Silver Lake;

– Michael Anthony Lewis, 20, Corly’s Lane, Silver Lake;

– Bret Alan Cooper, 18, CR 900W, Mentone;

– Dakota Ray Wallace, 22, Rochester Street, Akron.

All four men’s individual bonds were set at $100,000 by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office. Blankenship’s bond was set at $250,000.

KCSD detectives stated the charges are correlated to prescription medications.

Detectives and DTF officers also stated that the investigation is still ongoing and more arrests are expected in both Fulton and Kosciusko counties.
