Sticks & Stones

Since I am also a next door neighbor, I have read with interest the letters regarding the massive piles of branches on the Ranch Road property. I personally think that it is beyond the duty of the city to pick up that much wood because it was the homeowner’s decision to cut down all the trees in her yard.

But I did have to laugh when I read Alan Kuta’s comment that it is my fault that my property taxes are so high, since I chose to buy a house in this neighborhood. Actually, my parents bought these three acres in 1953 because they wanted to build a home in the country. It was the city of Warsaw that annexed this area, changed the city limits, and increased the taxes.
