BOURBON - Steven M. Middaugh, 47, of 17645 Hickory Road, Argos, died Feb. 24, 2008, in Goshen General Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born Aug. 20, 1960, in Rochester, to Raymond D. and Alberta C. Snyder Middaugh. On Sept. 22, 1984, he married Sharon Cretcher, who survives.
A lifetime Argos area resident, he was a farmer and worked over the years for 151 Tire Systems, Agway Seed, Mallard RV and Damon Corp. He was a 1980 Argos High School graduate, a member of Rural Youth and a faithful member of Walnut Church of the Brethren. He loved to collect International toy tractors and antique tractors.
Also surviving are three children; Natasha (and spouse Nick) Shafer, Plymouth, and Nathanael and Nanette Middaugh, both of Argos; two sisters, Jean Wallace, Milford, and Carolyn (and spouse Dewight) Manns, Akron; two brothers, Charles (and spouse Rita) Middaugh, Argos, and Carl (and spouse Jill) Middaugh, Bourbon. He was preceded in death by a brother, David, and his parents.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Walnut Church of the Brethren with Pastor Robert Rice officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos.
Calling is from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
