GRANGER - Steven John Smith Beecher, 56, of Granger, and formerly of Warsaw, died Feb. 21, 2009, in his residence.
He was born to George and Pat Beecher. He married Diane Martin, who survives.
He was a 1971 Warsaw Community High School graduate.
Also surviving are a son, Scott (and spouse Erica) Beecher, Texas; a daughter, Suzanne Ruchti, Alaska; his father, George Beecher, Warsaw; two step-granddaughters; and two sisters, Donna Antonides Schafer, of Warsaw and Fort Wayne, and Dorita (and spouse Thomas) McClanahan, Washington State. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Calling was Tuesday. A graveside service will be at a later date.
Hickey Funeral Home, South Bend, is in charge of arrangements.
