BOURBON – Steven J. Neidig, 68, Bourbon, passed away in the morning of Nov. 8, 2016, in his home.
He was born May 30, 1948, to Joseph and Elizabeth Reichert Neidig. He married Lois Rogers on Oct. 7, 1973; she died March 16, 1992. He married Randy Weller on Jan. 1, 2000, and she survives.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Bourbon High School. He was owner of Neidig’s Garage.
He was a very community-oriented person. He was involved in many things, including Bourbon First United Methodist Church, Bourbon American Legion Post 424, and a volunteer fireman with the Bourbon Fire Department, serving for many years.
He also was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970. 
He enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, motor sports, woodworking and John Deere tractors. He will be greatly missed by many family and friends. 
Also surviving are two sons, Heath ( spouse Dina) Neidig, Plymouth, and Adam Neidig, Bourbon; and a stepson, Tom Wagoner, Warsaw. He also was blessed with four grandchildren: Shelby Wagoner, Bodie Neidig, Aniston Neidig and Aerial Neidig; his stepmother, Bernadine Neidig, Bourbon; six sisters: Suzanne Smith, Bourbon; Patti (spouse Andy) Cook, Etna Green; Mary (spouse David) McConnell, Etna Green; Carol (spouse Dean) Swingle, Bremen; Becky (spouse Jim) Scarberry, Bourbon; and Rachel Rodriguez, Tippecanoe; and two brothers, Terry (spouse Alma) Neidig and Dennis (spouse Deb) Neidig, both of Bourbon. He also leaves hundreds of nieces and nephews, and an aunt, Ruth, in Virginia. 
He was preceded by his parents and a brother, Glenn Leonard.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church, 204 N. Washington St., Bourbon.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, with Pastor Rob Seewald officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon, with graveside military services by the Bourbon American Legion.
