The angels came to carry Steven J. Holbrook, 62, Warsaw, to Heaven at 3:45 p.m. June 7, 2014, at his residence. He was born June 28, 1951, in Warsaw, to Richard and Vera JoAnn Babcock Holbrook. On Sept. 29, 1973, in Warsaw, he married Barbara Vickers, who survives in Warsaw. He was owner and sign painter of Holbrook Signs for 18 years and then was a truck driver for Cripe Mobile Home Transport. He attended Palestine Bible Church and loved the Chicago Bears. He lived is life for God and his family. He loved his family very much and was a great husband, dad and grandpa. Also surviving are three daughters: Angela Seiman, Tina (and spouse Brian) Gilstrap and Michelle (and spouse Tracy) Blocher, all of Warsaw; his son, Joshua (and spouse Heather) Holbrook, Claypool; 13 grandchildren: Zakk, Tyler, Tiffani, Dustin, Nichole, Kyle, Isaac, Katelynn, Jakob, Brooklyn, Bailey, Deakyn and Brady; two great-grandchildren, Serenity and Natalie; his mother, Vera JoAnn Holbrook, Warsaw; and his brother, Doug Holbrook, Warsaw. A celebration of his life will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Rick Stewart officiating.
