SILVER LAKE - Steven E. Hassinger, 58, of Silver Lake, died Nov. 11, 2007.
He was born Oct. 2, 1949, to Glen and Hermonia Hassinger. On Sept. 18, 1992, he married Jacqueline Hartman, who survives.
Surviving are two sons, Andrew (and spouse Kristi) Hassinger and Brian Hassinger, both of Indianapolis; four stepchildren: John (and spouse Nicole) Ricker, Pittsburgh, Pa.; Joanna (and spouse Charley) Dowlearn, Lonoke, Ark.; Abigail (and spouse Marc) Hedahl, Washington, D.C.; and Allison Ricker, Toms River, N.J.; his parents, Hermonia Hassinger, Kendallville, and Glen Hassinger, Sun City, Ariz.; a sister, Nancy Jordan, Wolcottville; and seven grandsons.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Woodruff Grove United Methodist Church, Wolcottville. He chose to participate in the Anatomical Education Program of the Indiana University of Medicine Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology, of Indianapolis. Burial will be at a later date.
