Steven Dale Tripp, 63, of Warsaw, devoted father of Steven "Sean" and Christopher "Gavin" Tripp, departed his loved ones at 9:26 p.m. April 27, 2010, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born Jan. 14, 1947, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, to Dale Orson and Kathryn Veronica Decker Tripp.
He made his home in Warsaw, where he worked in the insurance business. In 1976, he formed Tripp and Associates Insurance Agency Inc. on East Winona Avenue. Through the course of his business he served on advisory boards for Grange Insurance, Motorists Mutual Insurance Group and other carriers. Under his tenure, the agency achieved senior status with various insurance companies. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Elks Lodge 802, Warsaw.
Also surviving are a sister, Charlotte Marie Tripp (and spouse David R.) Baker, Fort Wayne; a granddaughter, Sara Nicole Tripp, daughter of Steven; and his fiance, Pamela Kennedy.
He will be forever remembered for his love of aviation, excitement for car racing and his devotion to his family.
Services will be at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
