NORTH MANCHESTER - Stephen W. Bellinger, 56, of North Manchester, died at 3:13 p.m. May 25, 2009, in his residence.
He was born Aug. 15, 1952, in LaPorte, to William O. and Kathryn "Kay" Jobson Bellinger, who survive in North Manchester. On Sept. 29, 1984, he married Jane Scott, who survives.
He worked in construction for more than 30 years and currently with Phend & Brown, Leesburg. He graduated from Manchester High School in 1970. He was a member of First Brethren Church, North Manchester, Sons of American Legion Post 286, North Manchester, and the Indiana Laborers & Hod Carriers Union.
Also surviving are a son, Shawn Bellinger, Silver Lake; a sister, Sharon (and spouse Don) Smith, Warsaw; a grandchild, Regan Bellinger, Silver Lake; a niece, Tasia Smith, Warsaw; and four nephews: R. Zachary Smith, Warsaw; Jason Scott, Wabash; and Ryan and Collin Scott, both of Vale, Colo.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastors J.P. Freeman and Kurt Stout officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
