St. Regis Club Announces A Summer Full Of Music

Posted

Starting Saturday, The St. Regis Club will host the first of many house concerts (for 21 years of age and older), starting at 8 p.m. with a duet group called Two Beats One. The concerts will be held within the club in “The Cellar House,” and are open to the public. Space is limited for these events, so purchase a ticket in advance. A house concert is a concert in one’s own home. Instead of paying $40 to $150 for a ticket to a musical event crowded with hundreds of people, attendees get to sit in a candle-lit atmosphere eye to eye with the performer. The house concerts this summer will include one hour of original music from performers touring through the Midwest, table seating or concert seating, a candle-lit room, house wine and cheese all in the price of a ticket. Tickets for these events will sell out fast, since the nature of a house concert is to create an intimate environment for the listener, with a small audience. Once the room is full, no more tickets will be sold. Premium tickets are $20. Standard tickets are $15. For those interested in the music only, the ticket price is $10. First come, first served. Call 574-265-5931 for information, or visit www.brownpapertickets.com and search St. Regis, to pay for tickets online. The St. Regis Club also has a full bar with wine, beer and scotch available. Two Beats One, founded by singer/songwriter Kevin Joiner, travels from South Carolina for a weekend of gigs in his hometown of the Midwest. In May, Warsaw’s own Megan King, will perform as a part of her CD release. Her third album, “Lion Heart,” is in the final stages, and will be set up for release at The Cellar House in the St. Regis Club for a May date. King recorded her album down in Nashville at Java Jive Studios, with acclaimed producer Mark Hornsby (www.markhornsby.com), and had Grammy award® winning piano player Phil Naish and drummer Brian MacLeod perform on sessions for the tracks. Naish played on Steven Curtis Chapman’s albums, and MacLeod is an original member of the “Tuesday Night Music Club,” co-writing songs with Sheryl Crow. MacLeod is also a member of “The Scrantones,” who wrote the theme song for NBC’s “The Office.” Visit www.meganking.net for more information. Keep tuned to www.stregisclub.com for more information and future dates. Concerts will be scheduled on a monthly basis.
