SSG Donald Jay Hutton, 47, Columbia, S.C., and formerly of Warsaw, died May 9, 2010.
He was born August 22, 1962, in Decatur, Ill., to Donald E. Hutton and Carolyn Hopkins. He married Elisavetta Delcheva, who survives.
He was retired from the U.S. Army and was employed as a surgical technologist. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0172.
Also surviving are two daughters, Erika Hutton and Brandywine Hutton Landgrave; a sister, Barbara (and spouse Ferdinand) Gavina; a brother, David (and spouse Brenda) Adams; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant son.
Services will be at 5 p.m. today at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital Auditorium. A graveside service with full military honors will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Fort Jackson National Cemetery with the Rev. Ferdinand Gavina officiating.
