NORTH MANCHESTER— The Manchester baseball team used a two-out rally in the bottom of the seventh to get a 2-1 home win Friday night over Eastern. Trailing 1-0 going into the final frame, Justin Lewis hit a two-out double, which was followed by a walk to Grant Schuler. With two on and two out, Lewis scored on an Eastern error and another miscue by the visitors loaded the bases for Caleb Thomas, who hit the game-winner. The win leaves Manchester at 2-3 going into Monday’s home game against Oak Hill. The Tippecanoe Valley baseball team outhit Bremen 14-4 Friday night to get an 11-5 road victory. The star of the game was Valley sophomore Tanner Andrews, who went 3 for 4 at the plate with three RBIs and two stolen bases. Along with his offense, Andrews was also the winning pitcher, going 4-1/3 innings, striking out eight along the way. The 4-2 Vikings host Pioneer Monday.
