AKRON - Spenser Penrod pitched three shutout innings to lead Manchester to a 5-4 win over Tippecanoe Valley in eight innings of Three Rivers Conference baseball action Wednesday.
D.J. Brown went 3 for 4 while Blaine Miller went 1 for 3 for the Squires. Manchester's Brian Hays had two RBI sacrifice flies. Matt Mathias and Matt Carver each had a hit for Manchester.
Keith Koser had two RBI in the loss for Valley. Bryce Fisher also had an RBI for Valley. Graham Groninger was saddled with the loss for Valley.
Manchester upped its record to 5-9 overall and 3-1 in the Three Rivers Conference. The Squires host TRC foe Rochester Friday.
Valley fell to 9-12 overall and 1-3 in the TRC. The Vikings host Southwood Friday.
