SOUTH WHITLEY – Manchester, led by tourney champion Quintin Moore at 170 pounds, finished third in the Three Rivers Conference wrestling match at Whitko Saturday. The host Wildcats finished ninth, and Tippecanoe Valley 10th. Delton Moore (145 pounds), and Landon Tharp (220) earned second-place finishes for the Squires. Trey Addair (132) and Remington Trick (138) were bronze medalists, while Collin Meggison (152) and Wade France (160) each completed the tournament in fourth place. Michael Wirsing (106), Jackson Mathais (113), and Andrew Cagle were fifth in their classes. Whitko’s Logan Busz (106), and Erick Loe (160) were silver medalists. R.J. Patrick (120) took home a third-place finish, and Caleb Busz (113) was fifth. Valley’s Josh Back was third at the 195 weight class. Chevy Teeter (106), Jared Mikel (145), Isaac Randall (152) and Jameson Baker (220) were fifth in their respective divisions. Peru had seven individual champions and easily won the team title, with Rochester taking second. Manchester will wrestle in the Peru Sectional on Saturday.
