Grave blankets should have been removed by Sunday, according to the Board of Regents Rules and Regulations. Remaining blankets are being placed near the shop area for pick up for two weeks. Any remaining ground decorations will be removed and discarded.
All decorations for spring, summer and fall must be placed on the monument's foundation or on top of the monument. Decorations placed in or on the ground will be removed. For the benefit of safety, glass vases/decorations are not permitted as well as shepherd's hooks. To obtain a copy of the rules and regulations, visit the cemetery office.
The staff of Oakwood Cemetery thanks the friends and family members of deceased loved ones for abiding by the cemetery rules, allowing the staff to efficiently and properly maintain the cemetery as a beautiful place for visitors to honor their loved ones.
