If you can’t get away for spring break, First Friday will bring a little spring break to downtown Warsaw April 7. The monthly event is from 5 to 9 p.m., and April’s theme is “Spring Break Escape.” One of the big events will be a sand castle competition. “We have kiddie pools filled with sand on a trailer. Whoever wants to sign up can. I’ll have buckets and shovels, but anyone can bring their own stuff,” said events coordinator Paula Bowman. Judges will pick the winners in different categories. “It’s the same thing we’ve done in the past. It happens all night long. It’s a fun party for everyone not going away for spring break,” she said. Music will be provided by local radio stations and Dave Haney on piano. Other games will include limbo, darts and others, Bowman said. There will be inflatables, food and fun.
