Sports Roundup: Bremen Girls Golf Defeats Tippecanoe Valley, TritonTippecanoe Valley’s Victoria Biddle was one of three co-medalists, carding a 46 and helping the Lady Vikings split a girls golf match Wednesday afternoon at Rozella Ford Golf Club. Bremen got two wins with a team score of 183, Valley had 229 and Triton 241. Blake McBrier shot 57 for Valley, with Jordan Krotke coming in at 62, Lexie Cumberland a 64 and Bethany Johnson a 73. Kate Gardner had the low score for the Lady Trojans, shooting a 58. Samantha Edington carded a 59, Megan McFarland a 60, Delaney Groves a 64 and Alysha May a 69. Bremen’s Lexi Miller and Sarah Nepper were the other co-medalists. The Lady Vikings are scheduled to take on Manchester, Whitko and host North Miami today at Peru Municipal Golf Course. Wawasee Splits In NLC Play ELKHART – Wawasee senior Madison Beaman shot a 44, and classmate Aubrey Schmeltz posted a 47 to help the Lady Warriors split a Northern Lakes Conference girls golf match Wednesday at Bent Oak Golf Club. Host Concord’s 196 was four shots better than Wawasee’s 200, and six shots fewer than Plymouth’s 202. Jadison Rostochak posted a 53, Lesley Tayagua a 56 and Zoe White a 75 for the Lady Warriors. Now 7-4 overall and 2-1 in the NLC, Wawasee hosts Warsaw and Elkhart Memorial at Maxwelton Golf Club in Syracuse at 5 p.m. today. Manchester Tops Triton Samantha Kissel’s 43 led Manchester to a 187-293 non-conference girls golf win over host Triton at Rozella Ford Golf Club Tuesday. Lydia Little posted a 45 for the Lady Squires, with Karly Eichenauer shooting 48, Kelsey Eichenauer 51 and Leiah Brandenburg 53. Samantha Edington had the low score for Triton with a 70. Manchester will play Three Rivers Conference teams Tippecanoe Valley, Whitko and host North Miami on Thursday. Area Postponements Several high school athletic events were rained out Wednesday. Triton’s boys tennis match with visiting Knox was moved to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 8. Manchester’s tennis match with visiting Peru was postponed, but no make-up date was set. Whitko’s Three Rivers Conference girls soccer match at Rochester was moved to Monday.
