Why do you think is it when Warsaw's sports teams fall out of the playoffs the Times-Union decides to no longer go on with the playoffs? Granted they did give the regional scores this year and Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, they had the article of Class A championship game, but this does not make up for the lack of coverage in pervious years.
I know there are more important topics to be covered such as the war, health care, and Democrats and Republicans going after each other, but for me, as a little relief, I like to read the sports section. I especially enjoy reading the high school games and matches. In the past, along with semi-state this year, scores have been left out presumably when Warsaw drops out of the competition. All I have to say is hopefully Warsaw goes to state in basketball so we can see all the scores.
I know in some team sports, such as swimming and golf, they have individuals who go on further in competition, but it would be nice to see even soccer or baseball scores as they advance to the state competition.
So if you have room between the NASCAR qualifying section, the PGA money-earning section, and the box scores for professional and college sports, it would be nice to see the scores of the playoffs as it progresses, even if Warsaw gets defeated.
