Triton Chili Supper BOURBON — Triton High School will host a chili supper Friday in the high school cafeteria prior to the Triton Lady Trojans’ game against LaVille.
The supper will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m., with free will donations going to the Triton Principal Service Corp. Group.
Optimist B-Ball Competition The Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club will be sponsoring the Tri-Star Basketball Competition Saturday for kids ages 8 to 13 at Baker Youth Club in Warsaw, 765 West Market St. There will be divisions for boys and girls in each age group, with trophies given out to the first, second and third place finishers in each division and free t-shirts will be provided to the first 100 participants. Registration is free and starts at 9:30 a.m. with the event beginning at 10 a.m. First-place finishers in the event will move on to represent their community at the regional competition the following week. The event consists of three skills; dribbling, passing and shooting. Warsaw FFA Helping Hospital The Warsaw Future Farmers of America would like for attendees of the Warsaw boys basketball team’s Feb. 17 home game against Fort Wayne Bishop Luers to bring in any new character coloring and activity books or any new small stuffed animals. All of the items will be delivered to Riley Hospital for Children. The banquet will be Feb. 25 at the Back Forty at 6 p.m., with tickets selling for $20, which includes a meal. Tickets will be sold in the high school office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday to Friday, until Feb. 17, as well as home basketball games until Feb. 4. Members of this year’s hall of fame class are: Terry and Jackie Alderfer (contributor), Sam Davis (coach), Justina Reichert (athlete, ‘93), Max Trowbridge (athlete, ‘72), Steve Gochenour (athlete, ‘71) and Joel Berger (athlete, ‘65).
