Wednesday night's seventh- and eighth-grade spelling bee and the championship round were rescheduled due to wintry weather conditions.
The middle school spelling bee will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center. After the middle school bee is complete, the winner faces elementary school spelling bee champion Anna Bearss of Washington Elementary School. Bearss won the fifth- and sixth-grade spelling bee Monday night.
Five middle school students will compete for the middle school title, including Tim Ahlersmeyer of Edgewood Middle School; Anne Ondrla, HELPS Home School; Henry Robison, Lakeview Middle School; Alexis LeCount, Milford School; and Allison Sheerer, Wawasee Middle School.
There were 16 students who competed in Monday's elementary school spelling bee. Runnerup was Matthew Grothouse, Sacred Heart Elementary School.
The county winner will move on to the Area Spelling Bee at the Anthis Career Center, Fort Wayne, on March 15. The winner of the Area Spelling Bee then will represent northeast Indiana at the 81st Annual Scripps Howard National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.
