Speaking Of God

Editor, Times-Union:

We aren't shoving anything down anyone's throat.

If you don't want to read a letter about God, Christianity or any other religion, you have the right to look at the title or read the first sentence and pass it over.

The Bible calls Christians to share our beliefs, so that's what we do, and some of us are very passionate about it. Now, some of the people sharing their Christian beliefs here are obviously not doing it in a very Biblical way.

Like when you see someone calling names or getting angry, that's not Biblical and seems a bit contradictory to me, but there is nothing I can do about that because I can't control what others say or do.

However, last time I checked, our country still upholds the First Amendment of the Constitution, part of which is the freedom of speech, which letters to the editor allow us to do. That means Christians and non-Christians alike have the right to express their thoughts and beliefs.
