We the people will hold you personally responsible if you allow Obama to sign away US sovereignty at the 2009 Copenhagen Climate Change meeting. You will be an accessory to treason against the American people if you allow Obama to sign a treaty that cedes US sovereignty. We will hold you responsible, along with any senator, that allows this treason to occur. This treaty will be signed this December.
You must stand for your country and honor your oath of office. It is underhanded to relinquish US sovereignty. You swore an oath when you took office that you would uphold and defend the US Constitution. Nowhere in that document does it give Congress the right to give anyone the authority to cede US sovereignty to another country or body.
You swore an oath to protect and defend the US Constitution and to defend the liberty of the people. Nowhere in the US Constitution Section 8 in the enumerated powers of Congress nor the president do you have any business to relinquish US sovereignty.
In fact, if you look at Amendment 9 and 10, again, you will notice it says: 9: The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people. And 10: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.
Senators, you are exceeding the authority granted to you by the US Constitution if you do anything except stop the ceding of US sovereignty by the commander in chef.
How much clearer does the US Constitution have to be? You do not have the authority to allow anyone to relinquish US sovereignty. Your oath is to the US Constitution.
You have only one option from the point of view of your oath of office. So I suggest you begin a new day today because we the people are watching you and we are recording your votes and remembering what you do to remove our liberty. We will reward those who protect our liberty. Please be aware of this the next time you cast a vote. Please reconsider wisely and choose your side of the battle.
No on the cap and trade. This will kill business in the USA and drive it to other countries that have much lower standards than we currently have.
No to health care. The only health care reform that we need is tort reform, purchase across state borders, HSA and tax credits for families who obtain health coverage.
No more bailout or stimulus bills and defund ACORN permanently.
