Quotes for a new facade and decorative changes to the front of the KC Recycling Depot were approved at the county’s solid waste district meeting Tuesday.
Paula Bowman from Kaleidescope Interiors was on hand to give presentations about what the depot could do to help improve its facade while also solving problems with water leaking near the entrance.
No cost figures were available to the board so the board decided to allow director Sue Studebaker to seek out quotes for projects with cost-effectiveness in mind.
Studebaker was also given permission to attend a state solid waste district meeting in Indianapolis in October.
The board approved a transfer of $700 from the fuel budget to truck maintenance.
Studebaker announced that Tony Powell was recently hired to take over as Household Hazardous Waste coordinator.
