INDIANAPOLIS – The IHSAA announced the sectional draws for the state softball tournament set to begin May 23. In the Class 4A Warsaw Sectional, the host Lady Tigers drew one of two first-round byes and will take on Northridge in the semifinals on May 25. First-round games have Goshen facing Elkhart Memorial and Concord taking on Elkhart Central, with the winners facing off in the other semifinal. The sectional championship game is set for May 27. Class 3A’s Fairfield Sectional has Wawasee taking on West Noble on the May 23, followed by Tippecanoe Valley and NorthWood. The winners face each other in the semifinal. The other semifinal has Northeast Corner Conference foes Fairfield and Lakeland playing one another. That sectional championship game will be May 26. The seven-team Class 2A Oak Hill Sectional opens with Wabash and Northfield on May 23. On May 24, Whitko will take on North Miami and Manchester faces defending sectional champion and host Oak Hill, with the winners facing off on May 25. Southwood got the first-round bye and will take on the Wabash-Northfield winner in the semis. The sectional championship is scheduled for May 28. Triton hosts a four-team 1A sectional, and will play Lakewood Park Christian in the second game on May 23, following the 6 p.m. game between Elkhart Christian and Bethany Christian. The winners square off for the championship May 24.
