Softball Game Shortened Because Of Weather

BOURBON – The Manchester Lady Squires held a 3-0 lead, but it was Mother Nature that really had the upper hand.
In a high school softball game at Triton’s Keyser Field, Manchester scored three runs in the top of the first inning, but the game went into a weather delay while the host Lady Trojans were batting in the bottom of the frame.
The game was eventually called because of the bad weather, and will not be made up.
Manchester, currently 4-2 on the season, hosts a tournament Saturday and is slated to play Columbia City at 11 a.m.
Triton, 2-3 this season, is scheduled to play at Culver Academies at 5 p.m. today.
