Soccer Team

I’m a student at Harrison Elementary School.   I am especially concerned about the middle schools in Warsaw not having a soccer team and I am sure there are others who would agree too.

I am mainly concerned about this because I am going to middle school pretty soon and I need to play soccer. However, I can’t play because there are no soccer teams. That has to change!

First of all, soccer is a good way to learn team work and cooperation.  Knowing someone has your back makes a person more cooperative with their teammates. Also, kids can learn new things about soccer like the history of soccer, positions, and other interesting facts. It also gives your child a chance to try something new.

I have had an experience that proves that I am not the only one who encourages this idea. For example, I have heard a person say, “Hey, Lakeview should have a new sport.”  My friends and I also talk about having a soccer team in middle school.

I know kids including myself who cannot wait all year to play soccer! Warsaw Middle Schools should have a soccer team because soccer is a good way to learn teamwork and cooperation. It gives your child an opportunity to try something new. Some kids just play for the fun of it and that’s how it is supposed to be.  Please talk to the school board or superintendent to ask them to make this change! Thanks for reading and your support.
