Smoking Law Workshops Set

Posted
Two free workshops have been set up to help inform business owners and managers on how a new state smoking law will affect them.

Indiana’s new statewide smoking law will go into effect July 1 with many exceptions to it.

The Warsaw/Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce, along with the Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber, the K21 Health Foundation and the Kosciusko/Wabash County Tobacco Free Coalition have partnered to hold two workshops.

One is Monday in Syracuse and the other is Tuesday in Warsaw.

In Syracuse, the workshop has been scheduled for Monday from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Syracuse Community Center.

To attend in Syracuse, contact Tammy Cotton at 574-457-5637.

Daniel Gray, director of the Kosciusko/Wabash County Tobacco Free Coalition, will present the workshop. He is an expert on the Smoke Free Law and has access to many resources to help businesses comply.

Tuesday’s workshop in Warsaw is from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the K21 Health Services Pavilion, 1515 Provident Drive, Warsaw.

Online registration is available by visiting the Warsaw/KosciuskoâCounty Chamber at wkchamber.com

Registration is required for the workshop even though it’s free to the public.
