Slick Obama

Editor, Times-Union:

I am an elderly senior who has seen many changes over the years. Some have been good, others have been very bad. Change is not always good. Senator Obama is a sly, smart man, an excellent, trained speaker with charisma. We need more than flowery words and big smiles in our president.

We're hearing a lot about change these days. Will you be happy with the changes a president makes who won his first election because his lawyers, through technical loopholes managed to get all his competitors removed from the ballot. Who won his elections with the backing of the corrupt Chicago machine. Who got a below normal rate on his mortgage for his mansion in Chicago, thus saving more than $250,000 in interest. Who has a half brother in Kenya living on about $12 a year, but giving him no help, but promises to help the poor in our country. One who has inadvertently admitted to being a socialist, since he wants to share the wealth.

A man who changed his religion several years ago because his wife insisted he change because he could not be elected if he didn't. Who has many close friends and associates from the criminal world. One who promises to raise taxes. Can you afford to pay more taxes? One who arrogantly belittles many types of workers. I read where one person says he has promised to give us the same heath care that Congress has. What a laugh. They have the best and the government couldn't possibly match it for all of us. One who pushed for the laws that allowed our present economic problems. One who believes in partial birth abortion, which is a horrible procedure, and even believes that babies who do survive any abortion should be placed in a closet and left to die. One who has been noted to be the most liberal senator in the Senate. The man who talks change but most of his advisors and running mate are old time Washington politicians. The man who says he will reform earmarks, but attempted to put more than 150 earmarks in the budget bill.

Before you vote for change, think of the changes this kind of man would make in your world. If you check you will find these are facts which the liberal media isn't telling us. Our media for the most part is not being an investigative element, but is attempting to get us to vote the way they wish. When you check for facts be sure you use a source that is truthful.

Hoping you will investigate before you vote.
