Slate Auto Announces Two Milestones For Customers

Posted

Slate formally announced two milestones that will frame its owners' customer experience and deliver peace of mind in vehicle service and charging, from day 1.
Slate is solving accessorization and vehicle service with an industry-first partnership with the RepairPal network (4,000 service points strong) that will enable Slate drivers to find simplified, transparent service through certified service centers in the neighborhoods where they live, according to a news release from Slate. In addition to service, RepairPal locations will also be able to assist with most accessory installation, for customers who would rather leave that to the pros.
Slate is also announcing that drivers will have access to the largest national network of fast chargers, Tesla Superchargers, to enable charging through the standard NACS port on the driver’s side rear of the Slate truck.
These will both enable a frictionless experience for Slate customers.
Slate is building trucks that Americans can afford, personalize and love, the release states. In the six months since Slate was revealed to the public, the company has taken over 100,000 refundable reservations for its truck. Slate will build its trucks at a reindustrialized factory in Warsaw, and every Slate truck will be produced in the same configuration, ready for accessorization once it leaves the factory. Slate is expected to invest nearly $400 million into the factory, create over 2,000 jobs in Warsaw, and contribute up to $39 billion to Indiana’s economy over 20 years.
