Six new state troopers will be patrolling area roadways, part of 43 who completed the 70th Indiana State Police Recruit Academy Monday.
New troopers to the Bremen post will be Patrick O’Keefe of Bremen and Brian Robbins of Plymouth. The Toll Road post will welcome new troopers Christopher Eagles of Portage, Scott Hipsher of Mishawaka, Benjamin Werner of Mishawaka and Craig Woodcox of Butler.
Each received their squad cars Monday from the Indiana State Police headquarters garage in Indianapolis, and will begin patrolling the area immediately.
Of the 60 applicants who began the state trooper academy in October, 43 completed the nine months of training. The graduates were assigned to posts throughout the state.
