Six Bands Performing At Round Records June 16

Indiana University freshman Dylan Ettinger and Warsaw Community High School junior Caleb Vogel don't think Warsaw has a music scene.

So they want to help kick-start it.On June 16 at 7 p.m., Ettinger said they are having a show at Round Round Records, 109 E. Market St., Warsaw, with four bands from Chicago. Three of the bands, Vogel said, are on tour.

"The most well-known is super famicom," said Vogel. "He's a really cool guy, really good music."

Ettinger said he plays "weird poppy folk music."

"It's really cool," insisted Vogel. "Really entertaining."

The other three bands are My Bicycle Emergency (acoustic pop), Nice and Friendly (acoustic) and The Kinzie House (electronica pop). Another performer will be Caleb Jehl from Fort Wayne.

Ettinger's own band, Omagua, and Vogel's band, Kill and Eat, also will perform. Vogel said Kill and Eat performs "pop music, just fun music," while Ettinger said Omagua plays "experimental tribal noise rock. That's as simple of an explanation as I can get."

Cost per person for the show is $4.

"It's cheaper than a movie," said Vogel. "We're charging as little as possible."

Ettinger said, "Anyone can come. There's a lot of different bands playing. There should be something for everyone."
