Six Arrested After Shootings

SILVER LAKE - Six men and one woman were booked into Kosciusko County Jail in connection with reports of shots fired at a Silver Lake address.

Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department responded to several 911 calls around 1 a.m. Sunday reporting the disturbance at 3230 Schutt Ave., Silver Lake. Once at the scene deputies found the suspects and ordered them to lie on the ground.

A preliminary investigation into the reason five shots were fired yielded little information.

Preliminarily charged with disorderly conduct were Marty J. Robbins, 28, of 3216 W. Wilson Ave., Silver Lake; Joshua Darrell Trout, 21, of 3179 W. Wilson Ave., Silver Lake; Jamie R. Topp, 24, of 3216 Courtland Drive, Silver Lake; Brenda S. Phelps, 31, of 3209 Kermit St., Silver Lake; Eric Ray Smoroske, 29, of 3216 Wilson Ave., Silver Lake; Allen Dale Coleman, 26, Fort Wayne; and James R. Clay, 27, Zanesville. Clay, Coleman, Phelps and Topp were also preliminarily charged with public intoxication. All were held without bond in the county jail.
