Simulated DrivingSheriff William Rocky Goshert thanks all the local law enforcement agencies that participated in the Emergency Vehicle Operations Training Simulator during the past week. Bliss McKnight, insurance provider, made the reality-based driving simulator available for local law enforcement throughout Kosciusko County. The training was available during multiple training sessions during the week and was attended by Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies and officers from surrounding departments. The simulator places the deputy in real-life situations to help judge reaction time and to improve the awareness of distracted driving. The simulator has also been made available to other county offices that have employees that operate motor vehicles. The additional offices that are participating are the Kosciusko County Highway Department, Health Department, Animal Control and Kosciusko County Emergency Management. Shown is Goshert completing the training.
