SILVER LAKE -ÊA Silver Lake woman allegedly was raped by a male acquaintance over the weekend.
According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department report, the woman reportedly was raped in the back of a vehicle at an unknown location after drinking at a bar in Silver Lake.
The victim said she was drinking at the Silver Inn and left in a car with a group of friends. The victim and another female began arguing and the woman left, leaving the victim in the vehicle with two men.
The victim told police that she passed out and woke up with a man on top of her, raping her in the backseat of the vehicle.
Although she had limited memories of the incident, she told sheriff officials that she did not give the man permission to have intercourse or any sexual contact with her.
The victim said she passed out again, and when she woke up the man who allegedly raped her was no longer in the vehicle.
When she got home, she said her underwear and belt were missing and her clothes were muddy.
Once she realized what happened, the victim was taken to the hospital and the incident was reported to the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department.
The incident remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department.
