NOTICE OF HEARING ON PROPOSED RATES AND CHARGES Property owners, ratepayers and other interested parties in or served or to be served by the Water Utility of the Town of Silver Lake are hereby notified that Ordinance No. 12-01-11, establishing rates and charges for services to be rendered by the Water Utility, was introduced at a meeting of the Town Council on November 15, 2011. At a meeting of the Town Council to be held at 7:00 p.m. on the 27th day of December, 2011, in the Silver Lake Town Hall, 604 North Jefferson Street, Silver Lake, Indiana, there will be a public hearing on the matter of rates and charges. Section 1. That there shall be and there are hereby established for the use of and the service rendered by the waterworks system of the Town of Silver Lake the following rates and charges, based on the use of water supplied by said waterworks system: (a) Metered Rates Per Month Per 1,000 Gallons First 2,000 Gallons $9.99 Next 8,000 Gallons 7.90 Next 14,000 Gallons 5.91 over 20,000 Gallons 4.17 (b) Minimum Charge Each user shall pay a minimum charge in accordance with the following applicable size of meter installed, for which the user will be entitled to the quantity of water set out in the above schedule of rates.
