Town of Silver Lake, Kosciusko County, Lake Township, PER Amendment
No. 1: Standby Generator and Vacuum Station Alarms;
SRF Project WW 17 10 43 01.
To all interested parties: This is notification that the Town of Silver Lake Standby Generator and Vacuum Station Alarms project is categorically excluded from substantive environmental review. The SRF is submitting the CE for public notice.
A standby generator will be installed at the Main Lift Station, which will allow the lift station to operate in the event of power loss. In addition, an alarm will be installed at each of the 250 vacuum stations in the collection system, which will allow utility staff to monitor the operation of the stations. Both the standby generator and alarm system will help the town avoid sewage backups or spills when a station fails to operate properly, and will provide more efficient utility staff working conditions.
Total cost of this project is estimated to be approximately $41,000. The Town of Silver Lake will finance the project by increasing the anticipated loan amount from the SRF Loan Program for a term and annual fixed interest rate to be determined at loan closing. Monthly user rates and charges may need to be analyzed to determine if adjustments are required for loan repayment.
