AN ORDINANCE AMENDING NUMBER 96-11
    WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Silver Lake has determined that in the best interest of the Town to amend Ordinance 96-11.
    NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Silver Lake, Indiana that Ordinance 96-11 is hereby amended in the following provision
    Section 1: Section 1 of said Ordinance is amended to provide the following, to wit:
    (o) "Nuisance Vegetation" shall include one or all of the following: (1) any grasses and/or weeds exceeding 6 inches in height; (2) rank vegetation that obscures the visual clearance at street intersection.
    (p) "Rank Vegetation" shall include any vegetation, living or dead, that acts as a habitat for mosquitos, flies, bees, mice, snakes, rats, or other insects or animals that pose a hazard to the public health.
    Section 2. Section 11 of said ordinance is hereby amended to read as follows:
    Any person found liable for a violation hereof may be fined in any sum or more that ($100.00) per day. Each day shall be considered a separate violation of this Ordinance. All moneys obtained pursuant to the terms of this Ordinance shall be placed in the General Fund of the Town of Silver Lake, Indiana.
    Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, legal advertising and approval by the Town Council at the Town of Silver Lake, Indiana.
    Passed and Adopted by the Town Council of the Town of Silver Lake, Indiana this 11th day of June, 2013.
