Posted
SILVER LAKE - A Silver Lake man is being held on $100,000 bond after he allegedly held his wife and three children against their will for two days at their home.

Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department received a call Wednesday afternoon of a woman and children being held against their will at gunpoint. Officers responded to the home of Angela Renee and Jimmie Daniel James Jr., 201 S. High St., Silver Lake.At the residence, Jimmie Daniel James Jr. advised he did have several weapons on the property, but failed to tell officers where the weapons he allegedly used to confine Angela and their three children were.

Officers were able to locate two handguns inside the storage unit of a motorcycle outside the residence. Police removed 25 handguns from the residence.

During a search of the residence, police also found a box of drug paraphernalia and a bag of what is believe to be marijuana, located next to a rifle in the basement. When weighed into evidence, the alleged marijuana weighed 120 grams.

At the KCSD, Angela James told police she was held against her will June 2-3. She stated she was held at gunpoint, and that her life was threatened.

At some point on June 3, a male friend of the James picked up Jimmie and took him to a bar. After the two men left, Angela left with her children.

Angela stated Jimmie would "hunt her down if she left." She played several voice mails for police, though no threats were made during those calls.

Jimmie told police that he wasn't holding his wife captive and didn't threaten to kill her, though he did threaten to commit suicide.

Jimmie was booked into Kosciusko County Jail Wednesday afternoon on charges of criminal confinement while armed, intimidation while armed and possession of marijuana, and is currently being held on $100,000 bond.
