Silver Lake Man Arrested After Police ChaseA Silver Lake man is behind bars after leading police on a high-speed chase Monday night.
Eric Lee Crum, 44, of 12638 S. CR 200W, Silver Lake, is facing charges of reckless driving, resisting a law enforcement officer using a vehicle, possession of paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine, according to information provided by Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Sgt. Chris Francis. As of Tuesday, he was incarcerated in the Kosciusko County Jail with no bond set.
At approximately 10:45 p.m. Monday, in the area of Ind. 15 and CR 900N in Van Buren Township, a KCSO deputy witnessed a traffic violation and attempted to stop a passenger car, which then fled at a high rate of speed, according to the information provided.
Multiple area agencies responded to assist and stop sticks were deployed. The suspect’s vehicle then hit the stop sticks.
Crum was taken into custody when the pursuit concluded east of Syracuse.
