SILVER LAKE – Easement vacations are coming to properties surrounding the lake. The Silver Lake town board met Tuesday evening to discuss proposed easement vacations between 10289 Edgewater and 10279 S. Edgewater. The easements have been out of use since the 1920’s and 1930’s, and most can’t be distinguished from resident’s yards. The board found more information needs to be made available before a decision can be made. The town will look at plat information and confer with the county before making a final decision. The issued was tabled for further review. In other business, the town expressed condolences to the family of Randy Lewis, who passed recently. Lewis provided tree cutting services to the town for a number of years. The board agreed to make a memorial to the family and expressed their gratitude for his years of service. In the street department, the board agreed that parts of Wilson Avenue need to be paved due to its use. It will be placed on a to-do list along with other projects in town. Kevin Hohman was approved to continue work for the town to work on sewer system repairs. Silver Lake meets again May 14 at 7 p.m.
