SILVER LAKE – A three-alarm house fire in Silver Lake Wednesday morning caused $50,000 in smoke and heat damage.

Silver Lake Fire Department responded a little before 11 a.m. Wednesday to 107 E. Sycamore St.

Claypool and Henry Township fire departments assisted.

Upon their arrival, firefighters discovered smoke coming from the home. The origin of the fire was the back corner of the house in the bedroom/bathroom area, Silver Lake Fire Department Chief John Conley said.

The home is owned by Jack Warner and was being rented out to a tenant. No one was home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.

The cause of fire is undetermined at this time.

It took crews almost two hours before clearing the scene.
