Silver Lake Home Total Loss from Fire

SILVER LAKE - Volunteers from Silver Lake Fire Department responded to house fire at 12574 Ind. 15, south of Silver Lake, around 4:30 this morning. Fire assistance was provided by Claypool, Pleasant, Henry from Akron and Manchester EMS. The homeowner reported hearing a pop like a lightbulb and found the bathroom in flames, according to Silver Lake Fire Chief Morris Jones. The home was a total loss. Crews were on scene of the fire until 10 a.m. The American Red Cross provided housing assistance to the family of four.
