Continuously serving Kosciusko County since 1854
The Akron Carnegie Public Library recently hosted Silly Safaris at Pike Memorial Park as part of its ongoing Children's Summer Reading Program. Silly Safaris, an Indiana-based animal conservation education company, brought a variety of live exotic animals to the park for an interactive, hands-on experience. Founded by "Amazon John," the organization delivers more than 3,000 comedy and wildlife shows annually, blending education with entertainment using a diverse lineup of reptiles, mammals, birds and insects. With over 80 in attendance, the crowd enjoyed learning about animal conservation and had the opportunity to interact closely with the visiting wildlife.
